“We Out Here. We Been Here”
Washtenaw County Parks invites you to celebrate “Black History Month” outside! Join Brandan Freeman (Founder of Shades of the Outdoors: A BIPOC Outdoor Enthusiast Community) on a nature walk at County Farm Park on Sunday, February 25th from 10am-noon. During the event Brandan will speak on historical contributions to outdoor recreation by African Americans, and the impact of continued Black engagement with the outdoors. Pre-registration is required so we can communicate meeting spot, weather updates, and trail conditions.
