Park Spotlight: Rolling Hills County Park

We love Rolling Hills Here at Shades of the Outdoors. We’d like to share a few reasons why:

First of all, Rolling Hills is huge. It is home to over three miles of paved trails (can you say accessibility)! Also, the trail is mostly flat. That makes it perfect for biking, skating, strollers, wheelchairs, and all sorts of (non-motorized) fun!

Secondly - scenery! The trail starts near a small pond. From there it leads you through a dense woodland to a beautifully-restored native prairieland before circling back to the start. This time of year, the trail is a great place to see fall colors, deer, peaceful meadows, and migrating songbirds!

Lastly, there are plenty of activities to enjoy including a playground and waterpark (for the young or young at heart)!

Rolling Hills County Park is an Ann Arbor- area hidden gem! It is the perfect place to visit for four-seasons of family fun!
